It was usually hard for any individual to scrutinize someone’s background, especially if the person involved in the scrutiny is no longer alive. Nevertheless, with the openness of Florida Death Records these times, this sort of issue has been solved. Anybody desiring to perform a check on the departed can now effortlessly do so with the aid of several licensed government departments.

The statewide documentation of deaths that transpired in Florida was made compulsory in 1899. But, death recordings become consistent only during the year 1917 onwards. The state’s Bureau of Vital Statistics maintains files for deaths created after 1917. To get hold of this information, a charge of $5 for each duplicate should be given to the Vital Statistics Office in the form of check or money order. Furthermore, the applicant’s signature and valid picture identification should also be provided.

When ordering, it is vital to indicate your relationship to the person whose death file you’re searching for; otherwise, you may receive a death certificate that does not contain the reason why the individual died. By state law, the cause of one’s passing is only disclosed to the public 50 years after the event occurred. That is not applied, though, if the person asking for the document is the spouse of the deceased, parent, child, grandchild or sibling.

Fundamentally, Florida’s certificates of deaths were written to note deaths that took place all over the state. This is in conformity with the law of the nation to fulfil the want for precise statistical facts about deaths and eruptions. Recognizing wills and managing estates are also simplified with this data handy. As a norm, this type of information consists of the attending physician’s name, name and address of the funeral home used and the correct when and where of burial.

How long afer someone dies until it is made public in records?

Posted by | Posted in Public Death Records | Posted on 28-02-2012

I have a friend that just passed about 3 weeks ago, and since her mother did not like me and some of our other friends, she won’t let us have any info on how she died or any thing…even though its probably just denial, one of our friends believes that the mother may have lied about the death of her daughter to keep us away. If this were the case, I would understand her mother doing this because her daughter did have an addiction to heroine and might be trying to keep her daughter out of that enviornment, but I think if we could just find out through a death record or something then we can be at peace and know for sure. Any suggestions?
