There is a $6.00 fee per record. If the request is made by mail, a self-addressed, stamped envelope should be enclosed. Mail to:

If the request is made in person, it must be made during the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; except on legal holidays.
There is no fee for law enforcement agencies.
Dispositions and docket information must be obtained from the Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts.

The county courthouse can provide this information for that county only…There will be a moderate charge to have this done. For a national background check you can either pay to do it online or contact the FBI…either way it is expensive to do a nationwide background check for another individual.
